Come, Clean India
Come, Clean India is a national movement to make, and keep, public spaces clean in India. The movement is generating a national will and action among the people, parliamentarians, and government of India to solve the problem of cleanliness.
The movement is Gandhian in its design, and scientific and entrepreneurial in its approach. It is drawing support across a wide eco-system of citizens from all walks and regions of the country, and among Indian Diasporas.
Come, Clean India is incorporating support of citizens, public awareness, existing and emerging technologies to clean India. It is simultaneously requesting immediate and bold, comprehensive policy reform by the Parliament of India to eliminate the scourge of dirt and filth in public spaces of India.
Come, Clean India requests you to think, act, and contribute. Ranging from individual will and civic sense. To national will and a “can-do” attitude. To solutions in waste management and public hygiene. To innovations in waste-to-energy and usage of nanoparticles. To policy analysis and municipal financing. To any creative and pragmatic solutions that you and I can bring to the table. To amplification by media and urgent parliamentary action. Come, Clean India.
